Before his transplant, Robbie Williams had a noticeably receding hairline and thinning at the temples. After the procedure, there was not a significant change in his hair density, and his hair has continued to thin over the years.
Robbie Williams underwent a hair transplant in 2013, a fact he has openly discussed. He has stated that he had the procedure done out of boredom during a three-month break. The transplant, however, did not yield the desired results, and his hair continued to thin. In 2020, he considered a second transplant but was advised against it because his hair was too thin. He has since come to terms with his hair loss and has even contemplated wearing a wig for his performances.
On the Graham Norton Show, Robbie Williams said, βIβve had a thatch done, Iβll tell everybody now. I didnβt even need it. Thatβs the weirdest thing. I had three months off, I got bored, so I thought, βIβll go in.β I got some round the sides [temples] done, and I actually didnβt need it.β He also said, βMy hair is getting thinner and thinner. Nobody will give me a thatch job [hair transplant] because they say my hair is too thin. Iβm just going to have to embrace what is happening: in real time, Robbie Williams, losing his hair.β
