How we compare clinics
TransplantMatch helps you research providers and prepare questions for a consultation. A directory listing is a starting point for your research. It does not establish whether a procedure or provider is suitable for you.

What a source check means
Every clinic profile shows available source links and a field-by-field status. “Source checked” means a named primary source supports that field on the date shown. “Needs review” means the directory value still needs a current check. “Not available” means we do not supply the value. Conflicts remain visible until resolved. Clinic claims remain provider information unless an independent source is named.
We keep source-link request dates separate from fact-review dates. A website loading successfully does not verify its claims. A source check does not certify a surgeon’s license, accreditation, clinical outcomes or continuing availability. Check the relevant professional register and ask who will perform each surgical step.
Prices and package inclusions
Listed prices may be historical starting prices, estimates or provider-published figures. A starting price is not the cost of every procedure. Graft counts, currency, surgeon involvement, medication, aftercare and travel can change the total. Confirm prices and inclusions in a dated, written quote from the clinic.
An unavailable price is shown as “Price on request.” It is never treated as a free procedure. Use our quote comparison worksheet to compare totals in the same currency.
Ratings, reviews and photographs
When a rating is available, check its source, review count and date. A missing rating means we do not have a usable rating for that listing. Ratings do not measure clinical quality or predict an individual result.
Source links and labels distinguish clinic information from patient accounts. A placeholder or “photo unavailable” message is not a photograph of that clinic. Before-and-after images require context such as timing, lighting, procedures and permission; they cannot guarantee your result.
Medical review and commercial relationships
Our medical reviewer directory explains reviewer credentials. A reviewer profile link does not mean that every listing, price or provider has received a medical review. Medical review should be attributed to the specific content reviewed.

Help correct a listing
Open the clinic profile and use its source links to check the current provider information. To request a correction, include the listing URL, the field that changed and an official source through our correction and photo submission form. Submissions stay private until editorial review. Source checks are limited to the fields and dates shown; older entries may need refreshing. Listings with unresolved identity questions may be temporarily excluded with an explanatory page; this is not a statement that a clinic has closed.
