Key Regulations
Office-Based Surgery
New York has comprehensive Office-Based Surgery (OBS) regulations effective July 14, 2009. Physician offices performing surgical or invasive procedures using more than mild sedation must be accredited.
Facility Requirements
Informed Consent
Informed consent is required for hair transplant procedures in New York.
New York Public Health Law Section 2805-d requires informed consent including reasonably foreseeable risks, alternatives, and reasonably foreseeable risks of alternatives
